For those of you who do not know, we also write over at the touristy blog GoNOLA.com. One assignment at the close of 2010 was for us to provide a new year’s resolution. For some unknown reason, I decided that eating at 50 new (to us) restaurants would be a nice goal. It would challenge us to get out of our dining ruts and push us to some oldies that we just haven’t made it to. And that is the story of the birth of the Fresh Fifty. The rules are pretty simple, for a restaurant to count as “new,” we couldn’t have eaten in the restaurant since Katrina. One down-side of the Fresh Fifty, you’re probably going to get a review off of a single visit, which always poses some concerns for us.
